Cutera excel V+ Laser System

The 532 nm wavelength is a primary choice for the treatment of superficial vascular lesions. Research shows that the 532 nm wavelength is at least as effective, if not more, than pulsed dye lasers in the treatment of facial telangiectasias¹. The 532 nm wavelength can also be used to remove unwanted pigment on the face and body.

Another advantage of the 532 nm wavelength is the ability to address both hemoglobin and melanin (reds and browns) at the same time. This is increasingly beneficial for treating indications that present with both chromophores, such as Poikiloderma of Civatte or photodamage.

The 1064 nm laser, pioneered by Cutera, is particularly effective in the treatment of deeper blood vessels and vascular concerns that are blue or purple. This includes veins in the legs, venous lakes, venous malformations, and port-wine stains. The 1064 nm laser is also capable of treating hemangiomas and bruising, laser hair removal, active acne, and acne scarring.

Skin conditions are a common occurrence, and although most are relatively benign, they can have a profound effect on the individual. Some common benign skin conditions include pigmentation issues such as freckles and age spots, as well as vascular issues, like facial veins, leg veins, spider angiomas, and rosacea. Many of these conditions occur due to sun damage, aging, environmental and genetic factors, such as Poikiloderma of Civatte and photoaging.

Cutera’s excel V+ is among the most advanced vascular lasers on the market. By delivering two clinically proven laser wavelengths, 1064 nm and 532 nm, excel V+ can address more than 20 treatment indications.

The versatility of excel V+ is demonstrable.
